About Me

As well as my Human Givens Diploma, and practitioners certificate I have a Certificate and Diploma in General Counselling, but as I have found Human Givens therapy to be so fast and effective, I have been practising this exclusively since 2002. I can help you quickly reduce all forms of emotional distress.

You will not leave wondering whether I have been able to help you or not, you will already know.

Hugh Macnab, Human Givens Practitioner

In each of your visits, we focus on the real issues in your life and do not spend unnecessary time trawling through your past.

I will explain to you, in clear, easy-to-understand ways, reasons why you feel and behave the way you do and you will leave understanding what you need to do to feel better still. If you can understand what is wrong, then maybe you can fix it quicker?

You will also learn new skills and techniques to help you to do so, and to better manage your feelings so that you can take back control of your life. I also have specific experience of working with sexual abuse survivors.

Appointments

Evening and weekend appointments, as well as normal working hours are available. Home visits can be arranged where people are suffering severe agoraphobia.

Location

I practice at my home where people who accompany you can have a tea/coffee while they wait for you.

19 Walnut Lane,

Charges

Research now shows that if therapy is to succeed, it will already being doing so after the first couple of sessions.

Furthermore, if someone makes more than five visits, they are likely to begin to deteriorate.

I work in an unhurried way, preferring to take as long with each person as is required at each visit. The charge is seventy-five pounds per visit regardless of duration (please allow an hour and a half initially).
